The Brief
Newcastle Prep School wanted to bring their library to life with the use of bright, modern colours whilst introducing a woodland theme.
The Solution
The bespoke library design was to be centred around their existing, bespoke storyteller’s chair and would incorporate the room’s stunning features, particularly the stain glass windows.
Multi coloured LED up-lighting were used as well as a bespoke charging cupboard. Tactile carpets and a bespoke tree/bookshelf added a lovely softness and magic to the two rooms.
The school library is now known as ‘The Trove’ and is the heartbeat of the school. The Trove can be used as a calm reading space that also offers exhilarating and unique design features.It’s fair to say, the pupils love it.
