FG Library Steers into the Future
An Interview with Josh Hughes, Managing Director
(Originally featured on Designing Libraries)
Josh Hughes, now at the helm as Managing Director of FG Library, steps into a role that spans the full breadth of the business – from design and operations to finance and delivery. He puts it simply: he’s gone from steering marketing efforts as Commercial Director to navigating the whole ship.
“A library today is far more than a repository of books – it’s an anchor for learning, creativity, digital access, wellbeing, and community.” – Josh Hughes
A Stronger Leadership Core
To help shape the next chapter, FG Library has promoted Andy Standen to Sales Director and welcomed Chris Griffin as Project Director. These additions strengthen the leadership team, giving Josh space to focus on strategy and vision.
A Vision for Libraries that Evolve
Josh frames the modern library as a space that adapts and thrives in the 21st century. His ambition? For FG not merely to supply these spaces, but to shape them – through innovation, collaboration, and a sharp sense of what library-goers need next.
