As a result of our continued success and in line with our growth plans, we are looking for another member to join our industry leading sales team. This exciting role will involve travelling to many project, customer, and site meetings. With an office based in Northampton, a group showroom based in Clerkenwell (London) and multiple manufacturing sites around the UK, this is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Consultant to join the FG team.

The key to this role is having the communication and presentation skills necessary to assess customer requirements, interpret these as a design brief for our in-house design team, then present and close the sale.

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and maintaining sales in the West Midlands, South-West, and Central Southern England with potential for overlap into some neighbouring regions.

This role can be based from your home or from one of our Group office / showroom locations.

Duties

  • Selling library and education furniture to the public sector, schools, colleges, universities, and hospitals.
  • Identify sales & marketing strategies to support and maximise sales opportunities.
  • Proactive sales activity with live and dormant local authority accounts
  • Responding to new sales leads and enquiries
  • Site visits & site surveys
  • Sales presentations and workshops
  • Write accurate creative briefs for the design team to work from
  • Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Maintenance of sales pipeline and accurate sales forecasting
  • Prospecting
  • Account management

Skills

  • Face to face sales experience (Essential)
  • Strong Word, Excel & Powerpoint skills (Essential)
  • Good sound knowledge of Outlook 365 and Microsoft Teams (Essential)
  • Full UK driving licence. (Essential)
  • Knowledge and experience of working within the educational, commercial or library furniture and interiors industry (Desired)
  • Previous experience managing / working within a sales territory (Desired)

Working hours

  • Monday to Friday, 9am – 5:30pm (Some flexibility will be required to meet the demands of the role)
  • 1 hour for lunch

Package

  • Permanent full-time position
  • Competitive salary and uncapped commission
  • 22 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
